Production Computer Operator (Troy, MI)
Summary
The Production Computer Operator is responsible for the computer processing, output, and delivery of BeneSys, Inc.’s various benefit administration systems. The Production Department at BeneSys, Inc. can be characterized as fast paced with special requests woven into the fabric of the regular daily routine. The Production Department resides within the Information Technology Department. The Production Computer Operator is expected to be able to adapt to this environment, producing the required output quickly and without error. Attention to detail is very important in this role.
Production Computer Operator Responsibilities
- Month-end, year-end and tax season processing; daily, weekly and monthly assignments; delivery of output via mail, currier, digital and electronic means.
- Monthly batch processing; balancing totals
- Claims system processing
- Troubleshooting
- Print operations; loading Paper into printer; preparing output
- Reports
- Checks
- Forms
- Run computer tasks such as retrieve and transfer data files
- Secure FTP
- Other encryption processes
- Secure websites
- Various weekly and monthly assignments\projects
- File extracts
- Custom reports
- Special processes
- Access electronic PHI following the current guidelines as established at the company-wide and department levels
Production Computer Operator Qualifications
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate job duties.
- Ability to adjust priorities, listen receptively to ideas and problems.
- Ability to reach acceptable compromise and to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Ability to work under time constraints; ability to communicate clearly and work effectively as a team member.
- Occasional moderate to heavy lifting.
- Good interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Experience working in a high-pressured team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Knowledge of current Microsoft Operating Systems
- Knowledge of current Microsoft Office Versions
