We are actively seeking a Director, Data Governance and Reporting to join our Support Services Team. Support our mission to providing excellent dental care in the community and help us create more smiles and memorable experiences. The Director, Data Governance and Reporting is responsible for providing direct support to one of the two Operations presidents. This entails both project management, administrative & general support, and ad hoc issue management and reporting. This role will roll up under the Finance and Analytics group, with a direct support line to the VP of Finance. Travel required will be minimal, up to 10% of time.
Responsibilities :
Own standardized reporting across the company including KPI definitionsAct as a single point of contact for standardizing reporting and be fully responsible for the prioritization of requestsBecome a subject matter expert on the firm's data and use this expertise to assist leadership with decision making through data insightsStand up an offshore analytics team to help with both PBI and Excel reportingPartner with the executive leadership to identify and fill reporting gaps associated with operations, revenue cycle management, and other support services.Leverage PowerBI, SQL, and Excel to expand reporting and to find efficiencies in the distribution of informationLeadership : Be able to develop and grow a team that is comprised of both on shore and offshore resources while helping the team to expand their skill set and maintain deadlines and expectations.Customer Focus : Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers / Gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services / Acts with customers in mind / Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respectCritical Thinking : Is able to quickly learn new processes / Analyzes situations to identify potential issues, conflicts, and plan for future steps / Applies past knowledge and experiences to increase efficiencies moving forwardPresentation Skills & Written Communication : Is effective in a variety of formal presentation settings : one on one, small and large groups, with peers, direct reports, and supervisors / Is effective both inside and outside the organization, on both cool data and hot and controversial topics / Commands attention and can manage group process during the presentation / Can change tactics midstream when something isn't working / Is able to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles / Can get messages across that have the desired effectTime Management : Uses his / her time effectively and efficiently / Values time / Concentrates his / her efforts on the more important priorities / Gets more done in less time than others / Can attend to a broader range of activitiesOrganizing : Can marshal resources (people, funding, material, support) to get things done / Can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal / Uses resources effectively and efficiently / Arranges information and files in a useful mannerQualifications :
Bachelor's degree from 4-year College or University; a focus on IT, Finance, or Engineering10-15 years experience within a business acting as the owner of the reporting process and development while managing resources both on and off shore .Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel is requiredExtensive knowledge of Microsoft PowerBI and SQL are a mustA capable mentor that can fill the role of a player / coach and get the most out of their teamWhat We Offer :
