Requirements
Position Responsibilities :
The HVAC Lab Assistant position supports the HVAC instructor in providing a hands-on, practical learning environment for students. The role involves assisting with basic electrical and refrigeration systems, preparing lab materials, maintaining a safe and organized lab space, and ensuring supplies are readily available. This position is essential for enhancing student learning, fostering technical skill development, and maintaining lab operations.
The ideal candidate will have practical experience with HVAC systems, a passion for teaching and learning, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to student success.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lab Preparation and Maintenance :
Prepare, set up, and organize materials, tools, and equipment for lab sessions.
Assist students during lab sessions with hands-on activities, troubleshooting, and understanding HVAC concepts.
Collaborate with the HVAC instructor to align lab activities with course objectives.
Ensure the lab environment is clean, organized, and safe.
Minimum Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC certification or enrollment in an HVAC program preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work with students or in an educational setting.
