Job Title: MARKETING INTERN
The Westlake Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Intern to join our marketing team at our Maumelle location. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in growth marketing in a company with multiple divisions. The ideal candidate will be a current university student pursuing a degree in Marketing, or a related field, with strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
REQUIREMENTS
- Be pursuing a business, marketing, or communications degree
- Experience on social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
- Have a 3.0 or higher GPA
- Be a junior or senior in upper-division coursework
- Have the ability to commute to Maumelle office location
- Have a strong passion for learning and creating high-quality work
- Ability to manage 20 hours of work per week
- Be committed to this role through the end of the semester in May.
Key Responsibilities
- Professional Content Creation (social media posts)
- Community engagement (responding to messages on social media Google Business profile monitoring)
- Trend research (stay up on trends to create engaging content)
- Assist in the creation of specific blog campaigns
- Assist with administrative tasks
- Research competitors, target audiences
- Report on project progress weekly with manager to keep task timeline on schedule
- At the end of the internship create a presentation on social media marketing improvements made from beginning to end of time
Skills
- Interest in social media, content creation, and marketing strategies.
- Familiarity with marketing data terms and their uses.
- Strong verbal communication and writing skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Willingness to learn new tools and marketing platforms.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Familiarity with using Microsoft Teams Video meetings
- Familiarity with Canva or other graphic design tools
