Front Office Coordinator

We recently moved to a brand-new, larger office and are hiring a Front Office Coordinator to join our front desk team for our private, solo practice dental office. We are a productive mixed PPO and fee-for-service office open 4 days a week. We focus on quality dentistry and strive for the highest level of patient care. The right candidate must have excellent interpersonal communication and customer relations skills. They will be responsible for answering the phone, comfortably presenting treatment plans and scheduling for the doctor, processing of dental insurance claims and the management of relationships with insurance carriers.
The ideal candidate will also be responsible for contacting insurance companies and patients regarding coverage determinations and outstanding balances, researching and resolving insurance billing issues, setting up any financial arrangements, collecting payments from patients and assisting with insurance companies. They are required to work well with staff and the Doctor to ensure the dental team complies with established policies and procedures. Responsibilities also include daily closing and end of day duties and ensuring the integrity of daily deposits. A job offer is contingent upon successful background checks and references. Familiarity with dental software and 2 years of billing and insurance experience is preferred. Pay is commensurate with experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a dental office coordinator or in a similar administrative role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a keen attention to detail.
- Prior experience in a dental office setting is preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and improving office processes and protocols.
