*Job Summary*
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Bookkeeper/Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, accounts payable/receivable entry, order entry as needed to assist sales department, filing, typing of certifications for customer shipments, and supporting the overall operations of the organization. This role is essential for the smooth functioning of our accounting and sales departments and will involve using software programs such as Office, Excel, and the program used for our business.
*Duties*
- Assist in maintaining the general ledger by recording financial transactions accurately.
- Conduct account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data.
- Utilize accounting software for data entry and reporting.
- Assist in preparing documentation for customer invoicing and certifications.
- Assist in answering phones and order entry for sales department.
- Ensuring all records and file systems are up-to-date.
*Skills*
- Proficiency in accounting principles is a plus.
- Good understanding of bookkeeping and general accounting.
- Experience with accounting software is preferred.
- Grammar skills extremely important.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
