What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Director position at Bennett On-site Services Llc?
Job Summary:
Responsible for the overall coordination of planning, implementing, and enforcing all safety programs to ensure compliance with corporate and customer expectations.
Job Duties:
- Keep all companies within federal compliance. Train safety employees on federal compliance as well as our drivers and office employees.
- Oversee driver qualifications for compliance, hours of service, & equipment compliance for all companies to meet and exceed federal criteria including new hire driver approvals.
- Mange safety meeting presentation literature and be actively involved with all company's safety meeting presentations.
- Promote safety awareness, ensure safety training, enforce safety regulations.
- Develop and implement safety programs that ensure compliance with the Safety programs, customer expectations.
- Review internal safety policies and practices to ensure they are current and appropriate; conduct hazard and risk assessments and develop new or, where necessary, make recommendations to senior management to amend safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High School or Equivalent
- Transportation/Safety (federal level) knowledge
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations
- Microsoft Office
- Good communication skills
- Ability to manage employees
