Bennett Thrasher is seeking Research and Development Manager candidates. As a Research and Development Manager you will be working as part of a team and utilizing resources to add value to clients, Research and Development Managers are responsible for helping to manage engagements and mentor staff and senior associates to help clients in reducing their tax liability through federal and state tax credits and incentives.
Responsibilities :
- Identify potential tax issues during planning of engagement
- Able to develop unique solutions to client issues
- Communicates with the IRS and other state authorities in a professional manner when applicable
- Translates verbose tax credits into digestible content for clients
- Confidently disputes fees and notices
- Accurately applies state-specific income tax laws to client situations
- Thoroughly and accurately analyzes information and prepares quality, practical approaches to client's tax situation
- Interprets and applies legislation for client deliverables
- Identifies and presents credit and incentive opportunities as well as ancillary tax planning and other special services
- Conducts research, analysis, development and summarization of financial information
- Demonstrates an understanding of federal and state credit and incentive programs including, but not limited to : R&D, DPAD, M&E, Georgia Retraining, and TPR
- Executes feedback to minimize repeated errors and apply new concepts
