Salary Range: $16.50 - $17.50 Hourly
Description
Swim Lesson Instructors are responsible for teaching swimming lessons in accordance with the Bensenville Water Park Swim Lesson Program.
DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Provide competent, safe instruction using recognized lead-up skills as established by our profession and national aquatic agencies.
- Plan and effectively organize class time for maximum practice. This is accomplished through weekly lesson plans.
- Teach with encouragement and positive reinforcement.
- Provide consistency in instruction by working each assigned shift.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Promote good public relations by talking with parent/guardians before and after class.
- Required to follow Water Park dress code for swim instructors.
- Turn in required paperwork.
- Complete and distribute swim lesson report cards that are thorough and written neatly with no spelling errors.
Qualifications
- Applicants must be 15 years of age or older and able to swim.
- Must be able to teach all days of at least 2 full swim lesson sessions offered during the summer.
- Certification in Healthcare Provider CPR/AED and First Aid, offered by the Bensenville Park District.
JOB STATUS Part time/Seasonal DEPARTMENT Recreation FSLA STATUS Non-Exempt
SALARY $16.50 per hour Group Lessons/ $17.50 per hour Private Lessons
HOURS Varied throughout the summer season, May through August
Salary : $17 - $18
