What You'll Do
As a Graphic Artist II, you will design a variety of signage buildout packages and develop conceptual designs that visually enhance client assets. You will ensure production art standards are up-to-date and maintain efficient file production workflows.
Your Impact
In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the high standards of production are and design at Benson Signs. Your work will directly contribute to the visual appeal and effectiveness of client signage, enhancing their brand presence and ensuring and ensuring smooth production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Track design process from initial concept through implementation.
- Maintain strong understanding of client needs, brand guidelines, and design standards.
- Create compelling, innovative, and visually appealing signage designs that align with client specifications and company standards.
- Develop and present design concepts, mock-ups, and final artwork for various architectural sign projects, managing multiple design projects simultaneously.
- Maintain file handling for organization, apply production art standards, and review layouts to ensure accuracy and design effectiveness.
- Collaborate with project managers an other artist, mentor Graphic Artist I, and communicate creative rationale to illustrate proposed design solutions.
Your Skills
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) on a Mac platform.
- Experience with AutoCAD Fusion 360 is a plus.
- Strong skills with MS Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook).
- Understanding of the fabrication process and the relationship between Fabricator and Designer.
- Expert understanding of graphic design color theory, including Pantone color knowledge.
- Comprehension of current ADA sign design guidelines.
- Ability to understand and draw in architectural scales using standard drafting practices.
Position Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or similar experience.
Work Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in the signage industry creating signage production art.
