BENTELER Automotive has a new opportunity to support the installation, operation, and maintenance of a new paint line and its relative equipment.
Position Details
- Skills and knowledge needed- Surface chemistry, paint material, cataphoretic process details, driving a chemical production device, automotive corrosion quality requirements
- Responsible for the successful implementation of new projects (Process "Make & Deliver"), engineering and process changes, in agreement with customer, to ensure and improve quality and delivery of products, at lowest cost
- Responsible for APQP practices, and other upfront engineering activities, to ensure good launches and disciplined engineering change performance
- Drives technology and process standardizations
- Verifies and initializes the implementation of technical innovations
- Responsible for critical process/product characteristics and BOM (Bill of Material)
- Develops competitive plant cost estimate and implementation through ECR system
- Drives continuous improvement through implementation of BOSLE principles and best practices
- Ensures technical availability of production equipment
- Develops, optimizes and executes preventive and predictive maintenance planning for production equipment and tools at the lowest cost; increases efficiency of equipment and extends the useful life of capital equipment
- Responsible for the supply of required spare parts
- Supports the setup and launch of new production equipment
- Develops and executes effective Total Productive Maintenance programs and guidelines
- Drives continuous improvement through implementation of BOSLE principles and best practices
- Ensures that planned KPIs are met or exceeded
- Coordinates the assignment of service provider
- Responsible for the final approval and technical release of production and test equipment in cooperation with ME
- Initializes and implements investment projects
- Prepares budgets and approves expenditures for operating supplies, and human resources, to ensure that materials, labor and equipment are used efficiently to meet maintenance targets
- Enforces and follows safety procedures within the maintenance organization being attentive to unsafe
- behaviors or conditions, and taking necessary corrective actions
- Prepares maintenance reports and personnel training/performance records
- Promotes a respectful work environment and recruits, develops and retains human resources to maintain a qualified, motivated and productive workforce. Leads by example and lives up to Benteler’s mission, values and global leadership principles. Uses standard HR tools e.g. the appraisal process to provide regular feedback and agree upon tasks and goals with respective employees
- Provides support to all activities assigned by the direct supervisor.
Position Requirements
- Minimum seven (7) years manufacturing experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Maintenance cost, PM completion, uptime/downtime, energy consumption/utilization, spare part management cost and availability, repair priorities, OEE support
- Recommends the design and utilization of equipment, production methods, costs of repairs and maintenance to the Manufacturing Personnel for repairs and maintenance. Overtime manning. Allocation of personnel and resources.
