Job Responsibilities

• Set up the production equipment and supplies before executing the job orders.
• Manage the activities of the quality operation at the Hot rolling mill area.
• Keep the pace of the mill to an optimal running speed.
• Keep track of the quality and ensure the quality is maintained and communicated.
• Ensure quality by verifying Tolerances do not move above or below the Min/Max tolerance for wall and OD and ID.
• Ensure samples are taken inspected and information is passed on to all key operators.
• Support operators in their assigned responsibilities.
• Reports any major stoppages foreseen to respected personnel up stream, as well as to shift supervisor and maintenance.
• Fill out shift reports for the Hot rolling mill, this includes micro stoppages.
• Drive root cause analysis of mill stoppages using all resources provided to you; Operator, Floor Worker, IBA system and IMS data.
• Assist the Shift Supervisor with mill breakdowns.
• Ensure that the operators are performing down day and major break downs tasks properly.
• Be proficient in all areas of the hot rolling mill from LD11-LD81.
  
  

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, Mechanical aptitude.
• Experience in manufacturing environment.
• Strong safety awareness and experience.
• Demonstrated capability of results through people, technology and process.
• Basic SAP & general computer knowledge is required.
• Control room operations experience required.
• General hot rolling experience is preferred, seamless experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
