Core Responsibilities :
- Perform various metallurgical testing methods and analyze results in accordance with regulatory and local / customer specifications.
- Report and maintain test data according to local procedure.
- Identify and report all nonconforming material to Lab Supervisor / Metallurgist.
- Operate and maintain all lab testing equipment as required including band saws, surface grinders, mounting / polishing equipment, microscopes, etc.
- Comply with all Safety rules and regulations.
- Participate in Lab improvement and 5S activities.
- Assist with training of new Lab Techs.
- Perform additional duties that may be assigned by the Quality Manager / Lab Supervisor.
