Description
- Design a detailed manufacturing process route for the production of aluminum flat rolled products that are within plant equipment capability
- Define and/ or develop metallurgical attributes for aluminum flat rolled production to achieve the product quality requirements for unique customers
- Develop and monitor manufacturing processes to achieve the specifications documented in the Aluminum Association handbook
- Develop operational practices for each critical manufacturing step with appropriate process limits
- Critical manufacturing process variable monitoring through statistical process control
- Lead the process from new product inception to fully qualified as a commercial product
- Technical product support at customers
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in metallurgical engineering, material science engineering (or other engineering discipline) *1
Preferred:
- Training in aluminum process metallurgy
- Training in the sheet rolling technology
- Training in aluminum metallography
Experience
- > 5 years in Aluminum flat rolled manufacturing process
- *1 > 10 years in Aluminum flat rolled manufacturing process
- Statistical process control
- Continuous improvement
- FMEA, RCCA, QMS
Salary : $135,000 - $155,000
