Core Responsibilities
- Load Transportation Partners equipment accurately and safely.
- Must be able to operate heavy powered equipment safely and efficiently.
- Utilize heavy equipment to sort tubes requiring rework from prime tubes and reload the tubes into the mill for processing.
- Build pre-packaged multi layered bundles for efficient trick loading.
- Candidates must be able to work as a team.
- Customer service skills, both internal and external, are a must.
- The job duties will include material movements, inventory counting, verification, housekeeping, and general problem solving.
- To assist in scrap handling movement including the internal movement of roll off containers, both empty and full, scale operation, BOL creation, and staging for pickup.
- Complete all required training as necessary both classroom and computer based.
- Drive continuous improvement. This includes steady increases in employee productivity, cycle time reduction, and lead time reductions. Learn new systems using RF scanners to perform transactions in SAP.
- Assist other operators, maintenance personnel, and coworkers as needed.
- Perform general housekeeping as needed in all working areas.
- Participate the execution of housekeeping programs required to ensure facility cleanliness.
- Maintain all working areas in safe and orderly way.
- Complete all required training as necessary both classroom and computer based.
