Your primary responsibility will be to serve as the main point of contact for customers, accurately assessing their vehicle's service needs and communicating necessary repairs and maintenance to our skilled technicians. Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet customers and provide a warm, professional, and courteous service experience.
- Listen attentively to customers' concerns and accurately document their vehicle's symptoms or issues.
- Guide customers through the service process, answering questions and providing clear explanations of recommended services and repairs.
- Maintain ongoing communication with customers, keeping them informed of the status of their vehicles and any changes in the service timeline.
Vehicle Assessment and Documentation:
- Perform thorough vehicle inspections and assessments to identify maintenance and repair needs.
- Utilize diagnostic tools, customer feedback, and technical resources to accurately identify and document service requirements.
- Prepare detailed and accurate service estimates, including parts, labor, and any additional recommended services.
- Explain estimates to customers, ensuring their understanding of the work to be performed and associated costs.
Service Coordination:
- Schedule and prioritize service appointments to optimize workflow and meet customer needs.
- Collaborate with technicians to ensure efficient and timely completion of services and repairs.
- Order parts and materials necessary for repairs, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Monitor and update service records, documenting all services performed and parts used.
Customer Relations and Sales:
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Proactively recommend additional services or repairs based on vehicle condition, manufacturer recommendations, and customer usage.
- Provide accurate price quotes for recommended services, negotiate pricing when necessary, and secure customer approval.
Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain accurate and organized service department records, including invoices, repair orders, and customer information.
- Follow up with customers after service completion to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, manufacturer recalls, and service bulletins to provide the most accurate and relevant information to customers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; automotive technical training or related certifications preferred.
- Proven experience as an Automotive Service Writer/Advisor or a similar role within the automotive industry.
- Strong automotive knowledge, including familiarity with various makes and models, repair procedures, and service requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, technicians, and other team members.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a customer-centric mindset.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with service management software and basic knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting service needs, estimates, and repair orders.
- Valid driver's license.
