Sales Canvasser (Sales in training)

Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Canvassers & Closers in training. In this role, you will engage with community members through door-to-door outreach, promoting our services and initiatives. Your ability to communicate effectively and build rapport will be essential in driving awareness and support for our cause. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a direct impact while developing valuable skills in sales, customer service, and negotiation. THIS IS A SALES IN TRAINING POSITION. You will also conduct ride-alongs with management to learn the sales process. This is not a gatekeeper position. Our goal is to build your portfolio & have you manage your accounts, not hand them off to someone else.

Responsibilities

• Conduct door-to-door canvassing to promote our services and initiatives.
• Effectively communicate the benefits of our offerings to potential customers.
• Build rapport with community members to foster trust and engagement.
• Negotiate terms and gather support for fundraising efforts.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions and feedback from potential clients.
• Collaborate with team members to strategize outreach efforts and improve effectiveness.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and concerns promptly.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance canvassing techniques and product knowledge.
• Conduct ride along appointments with management to learn the sales process.
• Build your portfolio & manage accounts.
• Become too busy selling referrals from portfolio to canvass.
• Maintain relationship with commercial and residential accounts.

Requirements

• Previous experience in sales, telemarketing, or fundraising is preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Ability to negotiate effectively and handle objections professionally.
• Experience in supervising or leading teams is a plus.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as language skills can enhance outreach efforts.
• A positive attitude, resilience, and a willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
• Must be comfortable working outdoors and traveling within designated neighborhoods.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
