Responsibilities:
- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and software to analyze, diagnose, and repair gasoline and diesel engines and their related subsystems/components.
- Stay up-to-date with manufacturer technical bulletins.
- Update supervisor and computer systems on work performed.
- Follow procedures related to obtaining parts for assigned jobs.
- Assure warranty procedures are followed.
- Participate in and complete Manufacturing training to obtain certifications.
- Ability to work on trucks, climbing into and out of, crawling under to make repairs.
- Ability to work safely and promote safety in the workplace.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals and electronic repair and troubleshooting manuals.
- Ability to use a PC to update work order status and explain maintenance and repairs.
- Ability to explain verbally and in written form the status of work orders.
- Ability to keep management aware of any concerns in the shop.
- Must be dependable.
- Strong mechanical and electrical experience.
- Strong diagnostic ability and familiarity with OEM software.
- 7 years of experience working on gas/diesel equipment.
- Refrigeration unit experience a plus.
- CDL B, or willingness to obtain it in 120 days.
- ASE Certifications, preferred. Our goal would be to have this individual fully certified.
- For Pennsylvania Locations - PA State Inspection License.
- For New Jersey Locations - NJ Diesel Emission Certification.
- For Miami, Florida - Miami/Dade County License.
