What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Supervisor position at Benton Franklin Head Start?
DESCRIPTION: The Site Supervisor shall provide general management for a site program; ensure that quality integrated services are provided to children and families; supervise all staff and volunteers assigned to site; promote an atmosphere conducive to effective operations and safety; and ensure services are made available in a courteous and professional manner.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of an Associate degree in early childhood education or child development or a related field and a minimum of 30 credit hours in early childhood education and/or child development; and a commitment to obtain a Bachelor’s degree); or
- A Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or child development or a related field and a minimum of 30 credit hours in early childhood education and/or child development preferred; and
- Have knowledge of child development as evidenced by professional reference, education, experience, and on-the-job performance; and
- At least 2 years’ experience working with children the same age level (3-5 years old) as the center serves; and
- Two years of professional experience in administration and supervision, especially supervision of staff with diverse educational strengths and developmental goals.
- Meet the STARS requirement and be listed in the State training and registry system (STARS).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong team leadership skills.
- Proficient with computers including working knowledge of database and Windows’ programs.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, provide proof of current liability automobile insurance, maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record (insurable by the Agency’s insurance carrier), and ability to provide own reliable transportation.
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
- Sensitive to the needs of young children; willing and able to relate to children and adults from all ethnic, racial, religious, or socioeconomic backgrounds.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.22 - $40.27 per hour
