Duties
- Organize and maintain patient medical records in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Review and verify the accuracy of medical records, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
- Input patient information into electronic medical record (EMR) systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Retrieve and prepare medical records for healthcare providers as needed for patient care or legal purposes.
- Assist in the implementation of new record-keeping systems or updates to existing systems.
- Respond to requests for information from authorized personnel while adhering to privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure proper documentation practices are followed.
- Experience with Labor and Industries processes and forms.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with medical office procedures.
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with healthcare professionals and patients.
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is a plus but not required.
