JOB TITLE: Instructional Facilitator
LOCATION: Fair Plain Middle School
SUPERVISOR: Building Principal
JOB SUMMARY:
A candidate in this position will serve as an Instructional Coach to support teachers and build leadership capacity throughout the District. He/she will analyze data to inform instructional decisions that impact the academic growth of students.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's Degree in Education required.
- Have at least five years of successful teaching experience.
- Possess a broad knowledge of curriculum, curriculum development, and best instructional practices.
- Strong academic preparation and leadership ability.
- Ability to work effectively with others.
- Organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proven ability to meet the challenges of an urban school district.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work in collaboration with the alignment of curriculum and instruction in the district.
- Lead the coordination and planning of professional development for instructional staff.
- Work as an Instructional Coach for the teaching staff.
- Assist with the facilitation of the School Improvement Plan.
- Other duties as assigned, as outlined in the grant

- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with the public in a tactful and courteous manner, and to work harmoniously with everyone.
- Ability to work with students with a variety of learning styles.
- Proficient in the use of technology.
- Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
