Job Summary:

A successful Accounts Payable Specialist shall help lead the department’s efforts to ensure integrity in the flow of payable documents for timely receipt, processing, and payment, as well as process improvements within the department. This position will support the Accounts Payable department, as well as other departments within the company. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge in general office and accounts payable functions, an understanding of accounts payable processes, proficiency in the use of word processing and spreadsheet software with an emphasis on Microsoft and Google office tools; ability to use a computer and other office related equipment, ability to read, understand, interpret, input, and analyze data; a strong ability of tracking, monitoring, and follow-up skills are required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable using Intacct and Concur
• Handle accounts payable for separate vendors
• Analyze workflow processes
• Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors
• Ensure bills and payroll are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
• Process due invoices for payments
• Compare purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
• Process transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts
• Assist the travel and purchasing department

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in a related field and 2 years of related work experience
• Proficient in the use of office hardware and software (PCs, Tablets, Printers, Copiers, Microsoft, Google, etc.)
• Excellent Customer Service skills and strong English language skills both oral and written
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, and background check

Workplace Environment and Physical Demands

To be considered for this position, a candidate must possess the ability to sit for long periods of time, while using repetitive and/or fine hand movements to complete computer related tasks and/or other office functions. Work is performed indoors and in a typical office environment.
