Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring that our grounds and facilities are well-maintained, safe, and aesthetically pleasing. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for landscape maintenance. This position involves a variety of tasks related to groundskeeping and general maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
- Maintain gardens by planting, watering, and caring for flowers, shrubs, and trees.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various maintenance tasks.
- Irrigate lawns and gardens to ensure proper hydration and health of plants.
- Conduct routine inspections of the grounds to identify areas needing repair or improvement.
- Assist with the installation of new landscaping features as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas by removing debris and litter.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete larger projects effectively.
Skills
- Proficient in groundskeeping techniques including lawn care and landscape maintenance.
- Familiarity with operating hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and pruners.
- Experience using power tools such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers safely.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and techniques for effective watering practices.
