BEPC is looking for a Trade Program Manager- in South San Francisco, CA to join our fast-growing team of consultants!
W2 Contract : 11 months with opportunities for extensions based on business needs and performance.
Pay Range : $128.26-132.26 / hr. plus we offer Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance benefits!
Schedule : Hybrid, 3 days onsite
Position Summary :
Reporting to the Director of Trade Compliance and State Licensing, the Trade Program Manager is responsible to direct and manage all activities related to export operations including trade program requirements. This incorporates planning, scheduling and routing exports under the company. This individual maintains compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment and documentation of exported products. The incumbent will work cross functionally with Logistics, Legal, Regulatory, Procurement, Finance, shipping / receiving sites and suppliers. For export, they create export documentation or generate system documentation for shipments exported under the company. In addition, they provide timely product import and export classifications under the Export Control Classification Number (ECCN), Harmonized Tariff Schedule and Schedule B. The Trade Program Manager maintains classification codes in appropriate databases and SAP. This role drives the state of compliance with national and international customs and trade related topics.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities :
- Stay current in US trade laws and Customs regulations as well as in established company global standards.
- Primary interface and subject matter expert to internal business partners, on operational matters concerning export-from the United States.
- Execute day-to-day activities within established company policies and procedures, ensuring company’s goals, objectives and commitment to compliance are met.
- Applies extensive expert-level knowledge of company export processes, systems, tools, and roles to provide guidance for complex export scenarios.
- Act as a prime contact to identify and drive continuous improvements in export activities and use data to confirm effectiveness of enhancements.
- Develop and maintain company-specific procedures in the arena of customs and trade.
- Participates on project teams and initiatives as requested.
- Maintains all records related to shipments. Responsible for record-keeping for export operations.
