Job Description
BEPC seeks a Systems Analyst Lead to review and improve the current CAPPS financial system configuration. The goal is to enhance efficiency, reduce staff workload, improve reporting accuracy, and minimize system maintenance.
This position involves working with cross-divisional executives, directors, and stakeholders as directed by the CFO. The candidate will analyze existing processes, identify improvement opportunities, and reengineer business workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate functional and technical resources for collaborative projects.
- Lead analysis to reengineer processes for efficient use of the CAPPS Financial system.
- Gather system requirements for process improvements and report development.
- Prepare and utilize standardized project documents, including Functional Design Documents, Key Design Decisions, Change Controls, and Business Process Flows.
- Estimate effort levels for customer-requested activities.
- Design, test, and build queries to enhance business processes.
- Complete testing and configuration tasks as needed.
- Document all relevant activities as requested by management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 10 years: Experience in CAPPS business process design, system/data analysis, and reporting development.
- 10 years: Expertise in ERP/CAPPS Financials/PeopleSoft systems, including General Ledger, Commitment Control, Purchasing, E-Procurement, Accounts Payable, Cash Receipts, Inventory, Assets, and Grants modules.
- 10 years: Experience in implementing and supporting PeopleSoft Financial modules with an emphasis on process improvement.
- 10 years: Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office products.
- 10 years: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- 5 years: Leadership in five or more state agency CAPPS financial implementations.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with TCAPPS configuration and TEA-specific processes.
Work Hours and Terms
- Start Date: February 17, 2025
- End Date: August 31, 2025 (with potential extensions).
- Total Hours: Up to 1,040 hours.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST.
Note: Candidates may be required to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as requested.
