Position Overview
BEPC is seeking experienced Gas and Chemical Project Technicians to join its growing team in Santa Clara, CA.
You will play a critical role in supporting and leading the technical operations of gas, chemical, and slurry equipment across 11 buildings in Santa Clara and Sunnyvale, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant operations.
As a subject matter expert, you will provide technical leadership and problem resolution for more than 2,000 pieces of gas and chemical distribution equipment across multiple vendors and technologies.
This is a hands-on, senior-level role that will engage you in installation, decommissioning, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for gas, chemical, and/or slurry equipment.
- Support and lead technical challenges for over 2,000 pieces of distribution equipment.
- Ensure full compliance when writing, editing, and executing operational and maintenance procedures.
- Foster a ZERO safety or quality incident culture.
- Provide technical support and rapid problem resolution across multiple buildings in Santa Clara and Sunnyvale.
- Execute cylinder and drum changes for chemical and gas systems.
- Perform complex troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of systems, including:
- EMD Electronics Gas Systems
- Applied Energy Systems (AES) Gas Systems
- Fuji Liquid Delivery Systems
- Air Liquide Gas and Chemical Systems
- Support installation and decommissioning of gas and chemical systems.
- Drive operational excellence across projects and sustaining activities.
- Contribute to Basic Safety Processes, quality management, preventative maintenance, and training initiatives.
- Participate in comprehensive on-the-job training (OJT) and technical training programs.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent experience in electronics, design, or engineering.
- 10 years of experience as a maintenance or equipment technician.
- Experience working with chemical and gas distribution equipment.
- Experience with gas and chemical systems in a semiconductor ultra-high purity environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Military mechanic training or Navy Nuclear Power School graduate.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and emergency response knowledge in semiconductor environments.
