The Summer 2025 temporary positions offer three orientation dates: April 29, May 19, and June 2. Please consider these dates when applying for a summer position.
The position incumbent will support the operations of the Conference Services department at Berea College. Candidate should be prepared to work with each incoming group, help prepare for their arrival and work with necessary departments to ensure their time on campus is enjoyable.

- Coordinate campus services, such as Facilities Management, Dining Services, Student Life, etc. to support camp and conference events
- Work with Student Labor employee/s as a team
- Be able to pivot between tasks quickly and effectively
- Organize/File/Maintain necessary documents for each group
- Work with on-site representatives to problem solve issues as they arise
- Understand the actions to take in the event of an accident or emergency
- Serve as a representative of Berea College to external groups
What You'll Bring:
Education required to ensure success in this position:
- HS Diploma
- Some college work preferred, but not necessary
- 1 to 3 years of experience in either marketing, sales, customer service, tourism, property management, or meetings/events coordination.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal relationship skills required. Flexibility and maturity to manage unexpected disruptions required. Marketing and customer service experience preferred. Strong computer skills in MS Excel, Powerpoint, Word at a minimum, as well ability to update websites.
- Ky driver’s license
- Able to lift and move items up to 50 pounds necessary for conference and event planning and set-up
- Depending on location of programs, may be subject to a variety of outdoor/indoor
