Berg Construction is a locally owned and operated excavation company. We are currently growing and are looking to hire a Road Mechanic to join our Team. A Road Mechanic responds to service calls, to diagnose and repair heavy equipment and trucks, in the quickest and safest manner possible to allow our field personnel to return to work. This position works away from the shop most of the time.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Travel to work sites to complete repairs on various types of equipment
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
- Provide on site personnel basic training, as needed
- Other duties, as assigned by Management
- At least 3 years' preferred experience with heavy construction equipment
- Ability to effectively diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment problems
- Have a clear understanding of the necessity of equipment safety
- Must possess own tools
- Must be able to work on several types and brands of equipment
- Valid Driver’s License, CDL preferred but not required
- Must be able to pass drug test and background check
- A good attitude
- Willing to work some overtime and occasional weekends.
