What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Mechanic position at The H&K Group?
The H&K Group, Inc. is a leading provider of heavy civil construction and contracting services throughout the Berks, Chester, and Montgomery County PA region. Our Pottstown Division offers a unique opportunity to join our team as a Road Mechanic.
As a Road Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on diesel and gasoline heavy equipment and trucks in the field. Your duties will include inspecting equipment, identifying malfunctions, and making adjustments or replacements as needed. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all work is performed in compliance with OSHA, PA, and DoT regulations, as well as H&K Safety policies.
This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a CDL B, and excellent mechanical skills. Previous experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance is preferred, but not required. If you are self-motivated, organized, and competent, we encourage you to apply.
