RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Acts as receptionist for the Principal screening visitors, phone calls, mail, etc. Uses appropriate software programs including FileMaker Pro, PowerSchool, Outlook and Excel to track purchase orders, maintain inventory of office supplies.
- Schedule classroom observations/summative reports, coordinate event security, maintain student and staff demographics and update bus contact information.
- Maintains confidential files and appointment schedule for Principal, arranging observations, meetings and conferences. Attend meetings and take necessary notes and minutes as needed.
- Prepares memos to be presented to the Board of Education.
- Uses FileMaker Pro to process a large volume of purchase orders for school supplies, equipment, textbooks, travel etc. Maintain records of purchase orders, and expenses. Provides budget information as needed. Assist teachers in completing purchase orders.
- Composes and types a variety of correspondence, letters, memos, and reports upon request.
- Manage office meeting schedule to ensure efficient and respectful use of time.
- As a representative of the school and the Principal, maintains discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times.
- Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- New Jersey residency required within one (1) year of date of hire.
- High School diploma or higher.
