Job Title: Korean Healthcare Program Nurse Practitioner

Status: Non-Exempt, Part-Time

Department: Medical Services

Reports To: Medical Director

 

Job Summary: The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary and preventive healthcare services, including urgent care, to a diverse patient population, with a focus on the Korean community.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care:
    • Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including history taking and physical examinations.
    • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
    • Prescribe medications and other treatments as appropriate.
    • Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
    • Provide preventive care, such as vaccinations and health screenings.
    • Manage urgent care cases, including triage and initial treatment.
    • Respond to patient inquiries and medication refill requests.
  • Clinical Operations:
    • Collaborate with the Medical Director and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
    • Participate in chart reviews and quality assurance activities.
    • Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff.
    • Become proficient in the electronic medical record system and serve as a resource for other clinicians.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner.
  • Licensure: Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the State of New Jersey.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a primary care setting.
  • Skills:
    • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in electronic health records.
    • Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean preferred.
