Job Description
Fully responsible for the project accounting and cost reporting requirements on mid-size and large projects in accordance with company accounting standards and billing policies. This process includes producing and tracking AIA documents, sworn statements, waivers and all other documents necessary to provide complete and accurate monthly billing to owner.

Fully responsible for the project accounting and cost reporting requirements on mid-size and large projects in accordance with company accounting standards and billing policies. This process includes producing and tracking AIA documents, sworn statements, waivers and all other documents necessary to provide complete and accurate monthly billing to owner.
Specific Functions Include
- A strong focus on delivering accurate and timely billing documents to project owner.
- Establish and maintain a monthly billing schedule.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and complete project files.
- Prepare owner and subcontractor change orders.
- Identify areas of potential project gross margin improvement and ensure accurate recovery of all cost as defined in the contract.
- Effectively communicate with owner, architect or construction manager to maintain a smooth billing and payment process.
- Proactively identify potential "problem areas" early in the process and communicate to senior project manager, project executive and/or department head as needed.
- Work with Project Managers, other Project Accountants and Senior Management on ways to improve project accounting and administrative process and effectiveness.
- Maintain and foster good client relationships.
- Bachelor's (Preferred) or equivalent accounting experience
- GAAP: 1 year (Preferred)
- Five years increasingly responsible experience in a construction accounting position Intermediate to advanced computer literacy.
