Reporting to the Fragrance Supervisor this position will be responsible for timely execution of fragrance projects, working with shipping department on all shipments as well as fragrance compounding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the fragrance projects system for the VP fragrance to ensure projects and samples request are entered and scheduled to ship
- Prepare and organize samples for shipping along with all necessary paperwork.
- Attend project meetings to understand the requirements of the day/week to maintain consistent workload in the lab to meet the Client’s needs in coordination with Evaluation and VP Fragrance
- Assist and coordinate with all other departments as needed, to ensure samples, paperwork, and bulk orders are meeting given timelines
- Assist in training new additions to the lab team in refining and honing their lab skills as needed
- Ensure that all supplies, and ingredients are maintained both in date and to a required working level
- Maintain a safe and orderly Lab behavior
- Gather and organize information from Sales Account Managers in the development of Fragrance Projects
- Participate in odor approvals for Production runs
- Initiate SDSs, IFRA Certifications, and Allergen documentation, per customer requests
- Conduct fragrance compounding on complex formulas to maintain compounding is up to date
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma to include Laboratory coursework required
- Associate Degree with Laboratory coursework preferred
- Minimum five (5) years Fragrance Lab Technician or related experience required
Skills & Physical Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of fragrance prototyping
- Knowledge of frequently used aroma-chemicals & essential oils
- Skills and Know-how associated with lab equipment including Flashpoint Machines, Balance Scales, Pipettes, and Viscometers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent Written & Oral Communication Skills.
- Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Other physical requirements are minimal and typical of similar jobs in comparable organizations.
