Job Responsibilities
- Manage and support projects related to policy analysis, strategic planning, evaluation, and assessment for our clients.
- Develop project approaches and methodologies, manage budgets, maintain client relationships, provide guidance to staff, and present findings to decision-makers and the public.
- Lead or conduct quantitative and qualitative research and analysis.
- Develop criteria to inform recommendations and decision-making.
- Write reports, communication materials, and other deliverables and review and advise on the work of others.
- Contribute to BERK’s culture as a learning organization by mentoring colleagues and leading internal initiatives that foster firm-wide learning and growth.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and budgets are consistently met while collaborating with both internal teams and external clients.
- Exceptional written communication skills, adept at crafting deliverables tailored to diverse audiences.
- Strong presentation skills, with the ability to engage and communicate effectively with clients and decision-makers.
- Skilled in building and maintaining relationships with both existing and potential clients, fostering long-term partnerships.
- Expertise in facilitating discussions among key decision-makers to promote collaboration and drive effective decisions.
- Ability to gather and analyze relevant information, applying creative problem-solving skills to address complex and often ambiguous policy issues.
- Strong active listening skills, capable of engaging with diverse populations to understand and address their needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Consulting experience with public sector organizations.
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Public Policy, Public Administration, Public Health, Education, or Environmental Studies.
- Experience in policy topics such as arts and culture, education, housing, human services, or public health. Familiarity with market analysis, economic development, strategic and business planning, performance measurement, and survey design and analysis.
Compensation:
Base salary: $110,000 to $130,000 depending on experience.
Additional compensation: Annual merit-based bonuses and profit sharing.
