REPORTS TO: Food & Beverage Manager

PURPOSE:
Join our esteemed team at Berkeley Hall Club where exceptional service meets a refined atmosphere. he Men’s Locker Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the men’s locker room, ensuring it meets the high standards expected by our members and their guests. This role requires the ability to work efficiently under pressure while delivering outstanding service. Strong listening skills and a dedication to providing a premium experience are essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Arrive on time, well-groomed, and dressed in the appropriate uniform.
- Ensure all areas of the men’s locker room are kept clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Prepare coffee and stock the beverage station.
- Provide shoe-shining services to members.
- Collect and launder soiled linens in the designated laundry room.
- Maintain cleanliness of toilet and shower areas between housekeeping shifts.
- Monitor inventory levels of towels, toiletries, locker room supplies, and cleaning materials.
- Vacuum floors in both men’s and ladies’ locker rooms.
- Assist with banquet setups and resets as needed.
- Remove stains from upholstered chairs when necessary.
- Dust and polish wooden lockers.
- Maintain an updated list of locker assignments and ensure proper upkeep.
- Treat all members, guests, and staff with respect and professionalism.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work extended hours, including holidays, as required.
- Visual acuity to read faint or partially obscured writing, with corrective lenses if necessary.
- Clear and understandable communication in English, adaptable to various audiences.
- Physical ability to kneel, stoop, bend, push, shove, lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods, bend, reach, and carry trays of food weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Must be alert, detail-oriented, and possess strong reasoning skills to interact effectively with all types of individuals.
- Capable of transporting oneself throughout the property.
- Basic math skills to handle cashier functions.
ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions and changes, maintaining focus, efficiency, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work well in potentially stressful situations caused by adversarial challenges inherent to the role.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred and one to three years related experience and/or training in fine dining atmosphere; and working knowledge of wine, spirits and food; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills a must.
- Image must be professional and well-suited to a high volume, service activity.
