Comprehensive Estate and Family Law firm looking for a Full Time Receptionist/Legal Assistant.
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly person to handle day-to-day front office operations for our small firm. You will handle incoming calls, process incoming clients, handle messages between clients, attorneys, and others in the legal community. Additional responsibilities include written correspondence, processing mail, ordering records, maintaining our office calendar, and keeping the office clean and organized. Must possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, be highly detail oriented, and have the ability to multi-task, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, possess great phone etiquette, manage a workload with a great attitude and minimal supervision, and work well on a team.
Experience working for a law firm is preferred, but not necessary. Must be comfortable in customer service, sales environments.
Job duties include:
- Management of calendar for all attorneys
- Answering and directing phone calls
- Potential client screening procedures
- Greeting clients
- Scanning, copying, and organizing of documents
- Manage, organize, and maintain documents in paper and electronic filing systems
- Collect, examine, and organize evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation
- Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents, such as pleadings and contracts
- Research regulations, laws, and legal articles to assist with the preparation of reports, case files, and legal advice
- Manage client billing by preparing, finalizing, and sending out bills, as well as resolving billing issues in cooperation with the billing attorney
- Communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions
- Other office administration tasks

Required:

- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office 365 Suite

Education:
- Associate's Degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
