Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an exciting summer camp experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children. You will be responsible for supervising campers, leading activities, and fostering personal growth and development among participants. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for working with children and a commitment to their well-being. All camp activities occur outdoors in nature.
Duties
- Supervise and ensure the safety of campers during all activities.
- Plan, organize, and lead engaging activities that promote teamwork, creativity, and physical fitness.
- Provide guidance and support to campers in various settings including arts and crafts, sports, and outdoor adventures.
- Foster positive relationships with campers while encouraging their personal growth and development.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding camper progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized camp environment.
- Collaborate with fellow counselors to create a cohesive team atmosphere.
Requirements
- Experience working with students or children in settings such as childcare, babysitting, tutoring, or daycare is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles or special education techniques is a plus.
- Strong understanding of childhood development and the ability to educate campers on various topics.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- A positive attitude, patience, and enthusiasm for working with children of all ages.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by camp policies.
