Janitor

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Janitor to join our team. The Janitor will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment, ensuring that the facilities are well-kept and safe for all occupants.

Duties
- Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Perform floor care duties including buffing, waxing, and polishing
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as light bulb replacement
- Support residential painting projects as needed
- Conduct custodial duties to ensure a tidy environment
- Follow safety procedures to maintain a secure workplace

Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and waxing
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices is a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Good physical condition to perform cleaning tasks efficiently
- Experience as a porter or in facilities maintenance is advantageous
