About the Role:
As a part-time lifeguard in Bennington, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all patrons at the aquatic facility. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor activities in and around the water, providing immediate assistance in case of emergencies. You will also be responsible for enforcing pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe environment for everyone. Additionally, you will engage with guests to promote a positive experience while educating them on water safety practices. Ultimately, your vigilance and proactive approach will help prevent accidents and ensure a safe recreational space for the community.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current lifeguard certification from a recognized organization.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a lifeguard or in a similar role.
- Experience working with children and families.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor pool activities and ensure the safety of all swimmers.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and provide first aid as necessary.
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe environment.
- Conduct regular safety checks and maintain cleanliness of the pool area.
- Educate patrons on water safety and proper swimming techniques.
