The lifeguard is responsible for maintaining a safe environment in and around the swimming area. They are responsible for the safety of all camp members while in and around the water, including vigilant observation of lake users, enforcing all lake rules and policies, and performing lifesaving duties in accordance with American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification standards. They must also identify and respond to all emergencies quickly, professionally, and decisively and administer first aid and CPR as required.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
LEADERSHIP AND SUPERVISION: Staff will be supervised by the CYFS Activities Programmer, the Community Support and Respite coordinator who will help with specific trainings and scheduling.
ADMINISTRATIVE: Responsible for prompt documentation including incident reports. Staff will also be responsible for entering time in Paylocity.
- In addition to the above, performs other duties as assigned.
