Responsibilities
We are seeking an AVP Data Scientist who is interested in playing a leading role in GUARD's transformation into a top tier commercial insurer. Your work in our dynamic, fast-paced atmosphere will have a direct impact on our results. This position will be responsible for building out a small but effective commercial lines pricing data science team. The role will work closely with line of business actuaries and underwriting leaders and will report directly to GUARD's chief actuary. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing proprietary models that generate market leading risk segmentation across all lines of business. The candidate should have strong technical and analytical skills that can be put to use when needed, be able to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences, and be able to lead and influence business partners.
The position can be located anywhere in our office footprint of Wilkes-Barre (PA), New York City, Parsippany (NJ), Chicago, Philadelphia, Atlanta, or Phoenix. The successful candidate is expected to work in one of our offices 3 days per week and also be available for travel as required.

Salary Range
100,000-$210,000.00 USD with performance based bonus potential
The annual base salary range posted represents a broad range of salaries around the U.S. and is subject to many factors including but not limited to credentials, education, experience, geographic location, job responsibilities, performance, skills and / or training.
