Overview
Sr. Merchandise Buyer Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Merchandise Buyer to join our dynamic team at Jordan's Furniture.
This is an in-person position located in East Taunton, MA with occasional travel required.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage merchandise assortment and new product introduction for multiple large product categories (upholstery, casegoods, etc).
- Manage and coach junior buyers in product selection, negotiation, vendor relationships, and overall merchandising strategy execution.
Key Skills:
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Possession of a keen eye for trends
- Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work collaboratively across all areas of the company
- Expert knowledge of assigned merchandise category
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or related experience
- 8 years of related experience in the furniture and/or retail industry
- Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English
