What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiology Aide - Berkshire Medical Center, MRI - Shift: Days, 12 Hours position at Berkshire Medical Center?
Help verify images on PACS. Merge images. Retrieve previous films when necessary. Assist techs with exams. Assist with patients getting on/off table. Takes messages and finds appropriate person when needed. Acts as a liaison between the modality and others in and out of the department. Must have a working knowledge of Film Library. Transport patients when necessary including stretcher and wheelchairs to all areas of the hospital. Full knowledge of hospital ethics and policies as they pertain to the job are required. Review verification of education form with patient. Resolve all issues with outpatient orders, and assure all paperwork and labs are appropriate for exam to be performed.
Experience
- Basic Medical Terminology required.
- Strong skills in telephone and written communications required.
- Basic computer skills/operation required.
- Experience in hospital environment preferred.
- IV skills preferred.
Education
- High School graduate or equivalent; keyboard experience (typing, computer); medical terminology required.
License & Certifications
- CPR

- Good independent management skills; strong interpersonal skills, both oral and written; high level of flexibility and organization; ability to interact appropriately with community, hospital staff, and physicians; ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
