Berman and Company is a dynamic, energetic, and creative company looking for someone to join our award-winning creative team.
At Berman and Company, our goal is to change the debate. The ideal candidate needs to be adept at visually translating strategies into stories across a wide spectrum of issue advocacy campaigns. They will focus on the visual design of the project and work closely with leadership, copywriters, researchers, and other creative team members to deliver unique, cross-platform solutions (print and digital).
What You’ll Do:
- Create innovative design solutions, including graphics for issue advocacy campaigns with a key focus on concept development, branding and collateral materials for both print and digital;
- Create advertising (billboards, newspaper, magazine, etc.) that creatively portray client messages;
- Partner with project team members and clients to ensure that projects exceed the client's expectations on quality and timing;
- Create innovative and thoughtful design solutions to translate complex ideas in eye-catching and easy to understand ways;
- Follow current trends for color, technology, and other related design influences while using knowledge and research to create innovative solutions;
- Create digital ads and graphics for social media and assist web development team with designs and user experience
- Identify and manage vendors such as photographers, illustrators, and commercial printers as needed;
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a highly organized and detailed manner.
Skills Needed:
- Demonstrated interest in promoting the free-market, limited government, and consumer choice;
- Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop as well as PowerPoint;
- Experience working with print vendors;
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience (internships can count);
- Experience in front-end web design/development is a plus.
