We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Engineer to join our team at Bernard, Nickels and Associates.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems, electrical systems, renewable technologies, water, and building envelope technologies.
- Participate in Level I, II, and III energy audits of MUSH facilities on Long Island as well as the greater NYC area.
- Perform detailed energy calculations and review calculations provided by partners.
- Understand utility rate tariffs and local utility rebates.
- Familiar with federal incentives for energy-efficient upgrades.
- Value engineer products and manufacturers to provide the best options.
- Verify scope of work accuracy and remain knowledgeable of the latest technology and products.
- Lead role in creating comprehensive energy efficiency proposals.
- Understanding of direct and indirect costs and financials.
Required Skills
- Detailed understanding of Microsoft Excel formulas and pivot tables.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience reading plans, specifications, and drawings.
- Ability to meet project deadlines and manage multiple projects.
