We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Junior Plumbing Designer to support the design and documentation of plumbing and fire protection systems across a variety of project types. Working under the supervision of licensed designers and engineers, this role will involve preparing system layouts, drafting technical drawings, assisting with code compliance, and contributing to coordinated building designs. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the layout and design of plumbing and fire protection systems.
- Prepare and revise construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit based on engineer input and project requirements.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural teams to integrate plumbing/fire protection systems into overall building designs.
- Conduct research on applicable plumbing codes, fire protection standards, and industry best practices (e.g., IPC, NFPA, ASPE).
- Participate in design calculations, pipe sizing, fixture unit counts, and equipment selection.
- Support field investigations, site visits, and punch list walk-throughs as needed.
- Track and maintain documentation, redlines, and revisions throughout the design process.
- Assist in the review of shop drawings and submittals for code compliance and design intent.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Associate’s degree in related field, preferred.
- Proficiency in drafting and design software such as AutoCAD and Revit, required.
- Basic understanding of plumbing systems and fire protection principles.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Familiarity with codes and standards such as IPC, UPC, NFPA, and ASPE guidelines, preferred.

Physical Demands:
