Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Patrol Officer to join our law enforcement team. As a Patrol Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining public safety, enforcing laws, and protecting property within our community. Your duties will include patrolling designated areas on foot or by vehicle, responding promptly to emergency calls, conducting investigations, and preparing detailed incident reports. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, exhibit sound judgment under pressure, and demonstrate a commitment to upholding the law. Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED required.

- Must be a graduate of an accredited police academy.

- Must Posses Current and valid Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification.

- Ability to perform the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, running, and lifting.

- Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Legal and Background Requirements:

- Must be a U.S. citizen or have legal authorization to work in the U.S.

- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

- Must pass an extensive background check, including criminal history, credit check, and drug screening.

Schedule

12-hour dayshift 2-2-3 schedule

Must be able to work every other weekend

Employees will be required to work two days on, two days off, three days on, followed by two days off, two days on, and three days off.

Responsibilities

- Patrol Duties: Conduct routine patrols in assigned areas to deter and detect criminal activity, ensuring public safety and responding promptly to calls for service.

- Law Enforcement: Enforce local, state, and federal laws by apprehending and arresting lawbreakers, issuing citations, and conducting investigations into criminal activities.

- Incident Response: Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, providing assistance and rendering first aid when necessary.

- Community Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with community members, attending meetings, and participating in outreach programs to foster trust and collaboration.

- Report Writing: Prepare detailed and accurate reports on incidents, arrests, and investigations, ensuring all documentation is thorough and submitted in a timely manner.

- Court Appearances: Appear and testify in court as required, presenting evidence and providing clear, concise testimony to support the judicial process.

- Traffic Enforcement: Monitor and enforce traffic laws, conduct vehicle stops, and investigate traffic accidents to ensure road safety.

- Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training programs to stay current with law enforcement techniques, legal updates, and departmental policies.

- Collaboration: Work closely with other law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and community organizations to coordinate efforts and share information.

- Confidentiality and Ethics: Maintain the highest standards of ethics, confidentiality, and professionalism in all interactions and duties.
