We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the Property Manager in overseeing the daily operations of our residential and commercial properties. Your primary focus will be on providing exceptional customer service, managing tenant relations, and ensuring the properties are maintained to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills and a passion for facilities management.
Duties
- Assist in managing property leasing activities, including showing units and processing applications.
- Provide outstanding customer service to tenants and prospective residents, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Support the upselling of available units and amenities to enhance occupancy rates.
- Maintain accurate tenant files and documentation, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Coordinate maintenance requests and communicate with vendors to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and facility management best practices.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as rent collection, record keeping, and preparing reports for management.
- Negotiate lease agreements and renewals while ensuring adherence to company policies and local laws.
- Uphold professional phone etiquette when communicating with tenants, vendors, and potential clients.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in customer service roles, preferably within property management or real estate.
- Familiarity with property leasing processes, including Section 8 housing regulations.
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail in filing and documentation.
- Experience in facilities management is a plus.
- Knowledge of relevant laws pertaining to property management is desirable.
- Excellent negotiation skills to effectively manage lease agreements.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
