Speech Pathologist – Early Childhood – two days a days – 78 days

Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist License or Educational Limited SLP License
- Experience in evaluation and therapy of children with disabilities preferred.
- Demonstrated competencies on areas of interpersonal relationships, communication and organization.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Provide screening, identification, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, intervention and follow-up services for disorders of speech and language
- Provide training and support to teachers, other professionals and family members of individual with speech, voice, language communication and swallowing disabilities
- Develop and establish effective augmentative and alternative communication techniques and strategies, including selecting, prescribing and dispensing of aids and devices and training individuals in their use
- To work with adaptive devices for speaking and swallowing
- Maintain effective communication and relationships with students, parent, administrators, school personnel and community representatives
- Maintain required records on each child including regular notes, performance objectives, periodic progress notes, discharge summaries, medicaid logs, etc
- Maintain accurate and timely records
- Prepare for and participate in the IEP/IFSP process
- Demonstrate professional conduct and exhibit professional growth
- Inform supervisor of student’s progress and programmatic concerns
- Direct students in clinical or pre-clinical training, volunteers and attendant personnel that may be assigned to him/her
- Effectively plan and organize duties.
- Comply with school district policies and procedures
- Effectively participate in meetings, committees, staffings and other required district and building activities
- Comply with Medicaid billing procedures

Terms of Employment: In accord with the Master Agreement
