Student Information System Support Specialist
Start Date: As soon as possible
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems Preferred
- Functional knowledge of software systems and customer service experience preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned
- Provide countywide expertise in the area of student information systems and assist with implementation, troubleshooting and data import. May include either Student Information Systems and/or Special Education Information Systems
- Maintain general knowledge of state and federal student reporting guidelines, and requirements
- Compile data and provide reports to local district users, the state and other agencies as required
- Develop and implement professional development on the entering, monitoring and extraction of student data for tracking, analyzing and reporting purposes
- Maintain knowledge of current application integrations that share data, whether through import/export or updating of information from one system to another
- Participate in district, department and organizational meetings, activities and committees
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Other duties as assigned
Duties may include:
- Providing consultation and technical assistance to local districts on the implementation of state reporting policies/procedures
- Managing all aspects of Berrien RESA state and federal student reporting
- Maintaining knowledge of and providing technical assistance for Special Education policy, procedures, and practices
- Providing technical assistance for student assessment and data systems
